I've been here twice and both times the food has been amazing. The portions are perfect, the veggies are fresh, the chicken is cooked perfectly and the sauces are tasty. Every other Thai restaurant I've been to, the food is either full of sugar, the veggies taste old or the chicken is dry from being overcooked. This place is the complete opposite and is my go-to Thai restaurant now.
Fried Soft crab salad is a must , so crispy and dressing is perfect. Prices are reasonable.
Their “Tamarind Fish” - a dish consisting of Fried Barramundi Fillet with Montien's special sweet chilli tamarind sauce, pineapple, lychee - was SO delicious that I decided to try and replicate the sauce at home. To my utter surprise, I succeeded so I now make my version (loosely based on a Thai Sweet Chilli Tamarind Prawn recipe I have) every week.
But I’m a recipe-duplicating addict. Whether you are or not, I highly recommend you try this delicious dish if you’re there. I’d definitely have it again!!
